KOMPANÍA a new generation of rebetes is touring in the Netherlands and Belgium

About KOMPANÍA rebetiko band

They are a new generation who keep rebétiko music alive and they belong to the top. For many years the individual members accompanied a great number of famous older generation rebétiko artists in and outside Greece, but as friends they always played with this band of their own simply called KOMPANÍA. The level of playing is very high; it’s an “all star group” but more important, they are a real “band” with a lot of dedication, stunning solo and harmony vocals (3 great voices), competent in rebétika and smyrneïka as well as in dimóthika (the traditional Greek folksongs). Their first tour in Holland/Belgium in May 2012 was a huge success with most impressive and sympathetic performances. A live recording of one of these concerts will soon be released!
