Everybody has tried meatballs, but this recipe is guaranteed to blow your mind and make your mouth water with the juiciest Greek meatballs (keftedes) you have ever tried.

You can serve them as an appetizer with tzatziki, Greek salad and definitely some fries.

I cook them with Lurpak butter or fresh butter, but if it seems unhealthy you can always cook them in margarine!

What we will need to make delicious keftedes

4 toast crackers from the supermarket (see the photo)
1 big onion, in the blender
1/2 kilo ground meat (half - half)
3 small eggs or 2 big
1 teaspoon salt
ground black pepper to taste
you can also put parsley if you like

How we make these fabulous keftedes!

We are preparing the toast, we smash each one with our hands.

We put the beef, the onions, oregano, eggs, smashed toast, oil, salt and pepper in the bowl and we mix with our hands until thoroughly combined.

We roll out meat mixture into balls. If we want to eat keftedes, we mold them into small balls, if we want a burger, we are making big ones.

We put a lot of fresh butter in the pan and we cook until the keftedes are well browned all over and cooked through, about 8 minutes total.

We put the keftedes into a plate and we pour them with the fresh butter.

Enjoy!
