Following his last live act in the well known Architektoniki Club in Gazi (Athens), the alternative Stergios Ntaousanakis & his company will travel all the way to Amsterdam to be with us for one and only show on Friday 10th of October, where they will perform for us until the early hours.

Having the assets of partnerships with artists such as K. Tournas, G. Dalaras, M. Mitsias, P. Mouzourakis, Melisses, I. Matiampa, G. Aloupogiannis, etc, Stergios comes to take us on a journey with his unique voice in a night filled with rock & hits from famous Greek singers and composers (Malamas, Papazoglou, Ioannidis, Tournas) & also from laika & rembetika (Zabetas, Kazatzidis, Mitropanos, Tsitsanis).

So let’s all meet up again, to sing, dance, and to spend an unforgettable Greek nightout @ Amsterdam Exclusive LIVE nights!

We first saw you at the Greek Tv-Show “Savvatogennimenes” and later at the talent show Greek Idol. Are you an actor a singer or an artist?

It happened that I was playing at the theatre with Aliki Vougiouklaki at “The sound of music” since when I was 10 years old, where they were looking for children with nice voices and I was actually one of the lucky ones. Thereafter, growing up I also performed in other plays, such as Stamatis Fasoulis’s “Street Scenes”, “Grease” where I was playing Danny and was 18 years old at that time, and recently in the musical RENT for three consecutive years in Athens! Theatre is beautiful but I feel more like a musician. I like composing music & singing to make people feel good & have fun!

Why did you choose to participate at Greek Idol? Did the show helped you in any way with your career?

It was a tough decision since I do not have the best of relations with the Greek television…I feel like it sells rotten meat to the youth via the multinationals & the cheap and fake entertainment! I had a good time though and my only goal was that people could hear me performing; I made many friends on the internet & it’s already clear who are my faithful followers that stand by my side. Thankfully, there are a lot & they get more and more individually & coming from their heart. And that’s what matters to me, the Heart!

With what will you entertain us and what music do you listen at home?

I love the great composers such as Malamas, Ioannidis, Stokas, Peridis, Aggelakas, Tournas and I also love groups like Ipogeia Reumata, Tripes, Active Member, Pyx Lax, Kitrina Podilata etc. Further, I adore laika & rembetika. What could anyone say about Tsitsanis, Vamvakaris, Zambetas, Theodorakis, Kazatzidis, Mitropanos, Papazoglou etc? My live performances are of the same character, adding some of my songs and that’s how I believe everyone has a good time; nevertheless, our lives are depended on the mood of the people & the night!!!

Which musicians are in your team?

My team consist of 6 more musicians. Thomas Matrakoukas drums, Karolos Chalikias piano, Filippos Trezos bass, Triantafillos Vavatsikos violin, Dimitris Kontaris mpouzouki and Kostas Tsirigotis acoustic guitar & vocals. This is my team, we are good friends and love each other, we love music & we always have a good time.

Will you stay in Greece or do you plan to share your music outside the boarders?

This is the first time that I will perform abroad, thanks to Halo Productions which will introduce me to Amsterdam…I do not say no to being able to make my music abroad, it is truly an honor!

Will you planning recording an album?

An album is not so probable. Instead, youtube & freedom of music!!!

Do you believe that in 2014 an artist can do the marketing and the promotion of an album by himself. In other words, is there a career without a manager and a record company?

Of course there is such a career path. I usually name most of my live performances…”Singing along with friends” or “When friends show you the way”. Just like a friend now brings me to Amsterdam!

With which other artists have you collaborate? Which was your favorite performance?

I have played along with numerous young and older artists, such as Tournas, Ploutarchos as well as many artists around my age! Our road is lonely, like I have mentioned on another interview, therefore I don’t like to brag about my collaborations. I prefer to experience the most out of them when they happen & for people attending to enjoy!!!

Tell us your plans for the future.

Live at beautiful & cozy spaces, new studio songs, love with my friends & co- musicians, own production concerts, which we have already started doing during summers in Greece. Patience, persistence, love, passion & music are my future plans…
